About Us

Fischy Music has been writing and performing top quality, original music for primary/junior age children since 1998. Widely used across the UK, the songs promote the social, emotional and spiritual development of children. This is done by addressing real-life issues that children meet every day: at home, in the playground, on the news and in the lives of people around them.

We value people’s uniqueness and creativity above all else and we are keen to encourage others to recognise each other’s immense value.

Children and families experience many emotions as they encounter challenges, pressures, and causes for celebration in today’s world. Many of these are difficult subjects to raise, and Fischy Music can provide a unique starting point for exploring them.

All our songs are catchy, easy to learn and fun to sing, reinforcing powerful positive messages – usually appreciated by all ages! Difficult issues such as bullying or relationship breakdown are treated with compassion and sensitivity, and the value and creativity of every individual celebrated as part of an awe-inspiring world.

Working in school classes, assemblies, churches, concerts and festivals - Fischy Music’s songwriters and performers encourage children to feel as well as to think about the issues they face, in a fun, interactive and often humorous way.

Fischy Music material can be adapted to suit any age, ability or multi-cultural setting, focusing on building confidence and self-esteem, and emphasizing the positive in children as individuals and in their world. We seek to offer creative and inclusive contributions to personal and social development as well as moral and spiritual education.

What Does Fischy Music Offer?

School Events Fischy Music can offer workshops with small or large groups, assembly appearances, concerts for a whole school or even a ‘cluster’ of local schools. These may form part of a wider initiative such as an anti-bullying week.

Concerts These may vary from an intimate, informal event by two musicians to a main-stage festival concert with a full band, for 10 000 people! Fischy Music allows all ages to engage and participate.

Training We provide training for adults who which to use music in their work with children, such as primary school teachers and community workers. Our sessions are designed to help adults lead songs and use music to look at issues in an original and powerful way.
