What is the most embarrassing song in your CD or iPod collection? I do have a penchant Lionel Ritchie and Neil Diamond – I happen to think it’s not that embarrassing but most people tell me it is.

Where do you like singing most? With an iPod, a deserted beach and Mika (preferably “Grace Kelly”).

What is your idea of musical heaven? New Order and Take That in my teens; Embrace and Take That in my 20s; Elbow and Take That in my 30s.

What is your idea of musical hell? Funk I think, although I have never been able to listen long enough to tell for sure.

Which instrument do you wish you could play? Very dull, but guitar – so I could nonchalantly slip it out and sing songs round a campfire

Which instrument are you most glad that you don’t play? I used to play percussion in my school wind band and I am must say I am glad I don’t have to count the beats for the cymbal any more.

Favourite song from primary school? Close Every Door to Me – Joseph and his Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat.

Last song you cried to? I cry at everything and anything.

Last song you danced to? “I would walk 500 Miles” – by the Proclaimers.

Person you would most like to perform with? When (and if) Take That re-form with Robbie Williams, I would love to be there!! Sad but true.
