Ken Wylie - Mime Artist

I live in London with my wife, Marlene, and son, Seth, and enjoy cooking, football, walking and planning my next trip out of London. I enjoy watching people and this helps me to create different characters for my mimes. When I am not working with Fischy Music I do solo mime workshops and performances and also spend a good deal of time in an office. I quite often go to my local Anglican church where one day there will be placed a Blue Plaque showing the venue of the first Fischy Music concert.

What is the most embarrassing song in your CD or iPod collection? Too many to name just one…

Where do you like singing most? On stage with Fischy, without a microphone.

What is your idea of musical heaven? A big mansion with a different style of music in each room and being able to wander between the rooms.

What is your idea of musical hell? Being trapped in just one of those rooms.

Which instrument do you wish you could play? I can mime them all but in reality a toss up between the fiddle and the accordion.

Which instrument are you most glad that you don’t play? Nope, I just wish I could play something

Favourite song from primary school? Errrr, cannot remember any!!

Last song you cried to? Probably, Fischy’s ‘Just Imagine’ (Just Imagine) or Yvonne Lyon’s ‘Psalm Sixty-Two’ (Horizon Searching).

Last song you danced to? ‘I’m the only I’ (I know, I need to get out more).

Person you would most like to perform with? Difficult one because once you have already performed with the best (Fischy Music in case you were wondering!) there is no one left on the list. Oh hang on, there’s the ‘phone – it will be that Tom Cruise, again!! How many times…
