Lovely trip to York

Sandy and I spent a brilliant two days in the York area from 4-6 February. I meant to blog it straight away but here we go - only 2 weeks late! We visited Ralph Butterfield Primary, Forest of Galtres Primary, ran a training morning for almost 50 adults and then a sell-out concert in Haxby Methodist Church! We also got a rare opportunity to play our ‘non-Fischy’ songs that we write and record as duo Fair Witness (www.fairwitness.net). It was honestly one of the best trips we have done, and hats off to Cameron and Lucy Stirk who organised it all impeccably. We had so much lovely feedback which helps remind us, 12 years on, of the power that music has to cheer people up, make them think and bring them together as a family, school or church. I came away feeling totally blessed and so lucky to have the best job in the world….. thanks everyone.

  • This is from Charles & Cath Walters, posted on the 7 February….To the wonderful couple that visited Haxby and Wigginton Methodist church- we listened to your concert on Saturday 6th February 2010 and were deeply moved and ministered to. Well done! Your music and interaction was powerfully anointed. Keep up the good work!!

Thanks so much Suzanne and Sandy for coming to Haxby - I think we had as good a time as you did to be honest and you certainly weren’t the only ones who felt blessed! We’d raved to people about just how fab you are having seen you many times in the past and I have to say that you didn’t disappoint one little bit! Folk round here are still talking about the weekend and Fischy songs are being sung in the schools, churches and around the village! We can’t wait to have you back again!
