The songs help us to understand ourselves in the context of a God who sees us and loves us exactly as we are. All our materials work well both in Sunday school and in all-age worship.
As well as providing resources for churches to use, we can also come and visit. If your church is small, you could host us jointly with other churches as part of a Presbytery, Deanery or Churches Together group.
Workshops for Primary-aged children
Our inclusive workshops last between 45 and 90-minutes depending on agegroup and can be aimed at P1-3s or P4-7s. Through song, movement, actions and discussion we help children to think through some of the big questions of life whilst having a great time with our team. The workshops are designed for between 20 and 70 children and a minimum of 2 adults from your church must be present at all times.
Training workshops for adults working with children
These are aimed at adults working with Primary-aged children in Sunday school and community groups. They help participants explore the power of song and equip them to use Fischy resources regardless of musical confidence or expertise. Training workshops last from 60-90 minutes and work best in groups of 20-70 adults.
After running workshops we usually have an hour-long all-age concert. This can be focussed around a theme or simply be a celebration of our time together and a chance for parents to see what their children have been up to in our workshops. For those within an hours’ commute of Edinburgh, we can also offer a standalone concert for churches and their local community. Audience numbers are unlimited – we encourage host churches to aim for an audience minimum of 70 people.
Workshops and concerts in your local primary school(s)
We offer a range of events for Primary schools and are always happy to have School Chaplains in attendance. See School Events. Many churches sponsor us to visit their local Primary school.
