What's
the Fischy style?
We
aim to make every session, whether with 15 children or 500,
fully interactive; allowing the participants, in a non-threatening
way, to feel like performers rather than 'just an audience'.
This is borne out in the response from teachers and pupils:
“Fischy Music has transformed singing at Mayfield Primary.” (Julie Hunter, Depute Headteacher)
"A top quality experience which evoked a tremendous response from the children. Staff loved it too!" (Rachel Martin, Depute Headteacher, Kingsmeadow Primary)
“I am wondering when you are coming back because when you sing together it felt like I was in paradise and in a holiday dream” (Alex age 9, St Mary's Primary)
Material
In
a session exploring self worth and opening up the area
of bullying we might use the words of:
I'm the only I, you're the only you
We're the only we in History
Or...
Every word you say, every game you play
Every silly face, every single place
You can build up or you can tear down.
Build up one another, build up your sisters and brothers.
Or...
Sticks
and stones break your bones,
Silly words hurt more.
The subject of emotions is explored in:
They push, they pull, so silly and so cool;
Woah - they move you!
So low, so high, they make you wonder "why?"
Woah - they move you!
And if we didn't have them
We would all just be a bunch of robots....
These are our emotions!
Our approach
is very flexible and can be adapted to suit a wide range of
situations. The material is suitable for multi-cultural or
Christian settings. Visit play.fischy
