The Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh was the setting for our Feeling Good community choirs summer concert. Fifty children and 10 adults from Pilton and Muirhouse, representing Craigroyston, Forthview, Pirniehall and St David’s RC Primary schools, sang together in the open air. Their fantastic and enthusiastic singing was accompanied by an unplugged Fischy band on strings and percussion.
The set list was an eclectic mix, including Fischy Music’s ‘What kind of world are we passing on?’ to a Hawaiian mash up of ‘Somewhere over the Rainbow’ with ‘What a wonderful world’.
The children were watched and applauded by an audience of teachers, parents and families, Fischy supporters and the general public.
The children’s singing, was enhanced by the beautiful surroundings and sunshine, which left everyone ‘feeling good’!
“Their joy and enthusiasm was absolutely contagious and uplifting… thanks to all at Fischy for inspiring it!”
Angela Burgess, Depute Headteacher, St David’s RC Primary
